Quality Control Manager - Salisbury

My client is a medium sized life-science company performing a range development and manufacturing roles for biopharmaceuticals. This also includes all associated support functions from logistics through to engineering, quality control / quality assurance, regulatory affairs and management.

My client is looking to recruit a Quality Control Manager to join the Quality Control Section.

The Quality Control section provides analytical chemistry, biological testing, environmental monitoring and stability services to support production operations, quality control testing of licensed pharmaceutical products, raw materials and water systems

Your role is to lead and manage a team engaged Analytical Chemistry testing in line with regulatory requirements, safety standards and budget constraints. To ensure that changes in worldwide pharmaceutical regulations are recognized and incorporated into QC working practices.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure that all testing, including stability testing, is carried out with appropriately developed, validated and approved methods.
  • To ensure that facilities are maintained to meet all necessary operational standards and regulations.
  • Utilising input from relevant functions, operational project and production management take all decisions relating to the routine operation of the facility.
  • To recruit staff and to plan staff development succession planning to meet current and future needs of the process and production.
  • To ensure sufficiently trained staff are in place to carry out the testing and supervision of the testing, procedures and equipment.
  • To lead the training, management, appraisal and mentoring of staff to ensure performance, safety and training standards are achieved.
  • To coach and mentor members of the Analytical Chemistry testing group and ensure them to meet work objectives and targets.
  • To review and implement an organisation structure and work patterns fit to meet the needs of process and production and where necessary propose and implement change.
  • To act as the lead expert on analytical methodology and ensure that all laboratory practices, methods and reporting procedures are compliant with pharmacopeial and international guidelines and applicable ISO standards.
  • To ensure that all processes and procedures are documented and current for operation of the facility.
  • To monitor performance and capacity of analytical test equipment and via contribution to the Pharmaceutical Operations budgets, recommend and provide written justification for new investment.
  • To maintain knowledge of current standards and working practices required for analytical testing of biopharmaceutical product.
  • To be conversant with current safety legislation and ensure all staff have appropriate training and are compliant with all Health and Safety guidelines.
  • To lead regular review of safety standards for the QC Laboratories and related equipment.
In return, you will be given a basic salary of between £42,230 - £63,000 per annuum, with generous benefits including 30 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays, free parking on site and enhanced pension contribution.

Regulatory Affairs Officer- Salisbury

The Company manufactures two licensed products, Erwinase® and the UK’s Anthrax Vaccine as well as providing R&D services for product development. The Regulatory Affairs & Pharmacovigilance Directorate are responsible for Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information including management of my clients licenses and marketing authorisations

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will take a leading role in Regulatory activities, including labelling and clinical, to manage PBL’s regulatory commitments in relation to approved and pipeline medicinal products. This will include preparation and review of submissions and associated technical documents, and also acting as the Regulatory team representative on project teams. In addition, review of change controls from a regulatory perspective will be required.

The individual is expected to be able to regularly synthesize key analytical outputs in management-ready deliverables to help inform and drive strategic business decisions. The individual is expected to have a strong grasp of the highly regulated biopharmaceutical industry.

My client is looking to recruit a PA to the Director whose role it is to manage both the office and the Director in their day to day tasks.

Project Coordinator - Salisbury

My client is looking to recruit a project administrator/coordinator who will provide a vital link between the customer facing Project Team and their production departments.

The role of the project administrator/coordinator is to take a project from concept through development to production. This requires good liaison with project managers, sourcing of items and strong communication to workshops, to ensure products are delivered to site on time

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the ordering, organisation and specification of all products. A strong ability to organise, budget, show attention to detail and keep accurate records is required.

The successful candidate will have a key role in the company’s Finance and Administration team, supporting core objectives and contributing to the efficient and effective running of their dynamic and exciting business.

  • Make new patient, follow up and post-op appointments, ensuring all clinics are run efficiently.
  • Arrange admissions and organise theatre availability, liaising with relevant healthcare professionals
  • Audio typing of clinical correspondence
  • Preparation of medical records for clinic and theatre sessions
  • Scanning, filing, and pruning of medical records
  • Provide cover wherever necessary
  • Record invoices raised for each consultation and surgery
Experience as a Medical Secretary/PA or experience working within a private practice is desired. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal is essential alongside a flexible attitude and ability to prioritise a number of different tasks under pressure. Candidates must be able to demonstrate they are a highly organised, motivated, trustworthy individual who is able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

This is a part time position, offered at 20 hours per week, split across 3 days – Monday 7 hours, Thursday 6 hours and Friday 7 hours.

In return you will be given a basic salary of £12.60 per hour, with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays pro rata.

Internal Account Manager - Andover

My client is looking to recruit an Internal Account Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be developing and nurturing accounts and developing new business opportunities. You will be joining a team that is targeted on delivering growth and it is a great opportunity for the next step of your sales career.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Account management and business development of new and existing accounts
  • Scheduling and collating forward orders for larger key accounts.
  • Deliver Sales Growth: Identify, create, campaign and close sales opportunities within customer base
  • The ability to effectively build, manage and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Accountability for all operational transactions (e.g. sales order processing) to ensure ownership of customer
  • Competition analysis
The ideal candidate will have either proven experience of selling or the desire to develop a career in sales. Presentation, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills would be beneficial alongside the ability to manage sales and build & maintain relationships

In return, you will be given a basic salary of between £18,000 - £22,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
